- 'BTM DAMKINA', TEAM OF BEST QUALITY
At present, in order to achieve the goal or the most proper solution, collaboration of different professionals is more important than individual skills. And in corporations, team works actively involves the employees of the organisation in the management and provides the organisation with a stronger synergy, renovation and creativity. Having stepped in Total Quality Management studies for this purpose, BTM established development and improvement teams that are one of the minimum requirements of achievement and of such teams, the one called DAMKINA started a project for the enhancement of productivity, reduction of the waste quantity and costs by designing a new product in Shingle roof covering material in 2006. The team completed the evaluation process carried out in terms of the subject of the project, working method and results obtained and was awarded the 'Successful Team of the Year Award' in the 'Quest for Excellence Symposium' organised every year by Kalder (Quality Association). This award won by BTM has been the evidence of the fact that it shall achieve any projects that it plans to complete with firm steps with the participation of its employees in the future as in the past. BTM started the applications of EFQM Excellence Model and stepped in the National Quality Movement in 2007.
