- BTM, ENTITLED TO AN AWARD WITH ITS ENERGY PRODUCTIVITY PROJECT.
A rooted and leading companies of the insulation sector, BTM A.S. has been entitled to an award in the ?Energy Productivity in Industry Contest? organised every year by the Department of Studies on Energy Resources of the General Directorate for Studies on Electrical Affairs of the Republic of Turkey. The award ceremony held under the National Energy Productivity Forum at the WOW Convention Centre was attended by Hilmi Guler, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Rifat Hisarciklioglu, Head of the Union of Turkish Chambers and Exchanges, as well as a number of politicians and businessmen. The award was received on behalf of BTM by the Techical Advisor Josef Bonfil.
BTM team has detected 610 uninsulated hot oil valves of various sizes at the factory building, the energy losses in this case have been theoretically calculated and the necessary insulation actions have been taken, thus entitling the company to the award. Under the project works, the aggregate investment made hs been determined to be TRL 44.380,-; annual amount of natural gas so saved 606.480 m3/year and the annual monetary collateral of the saving TRL 272.916,- per year, the reimbursement period of the investment so made 1,9 months and the saving rate 15,7 percent.
